heeeey livejournal. guess what! i have a boyfriend. he is tall and scrawny and everything i ever wanted when i was 17 (arty, into music, able to teach me how to put on eyeliner..) met him at a friend's birthday, blahblahblah, we're going out. he's probably going to come to nh for a bit over break, i anticipate the parentals poking and prodding curiously.
my internship this semester was outstandingly stupid and a waste of time. i don't understand how the government hasn't collapsed in on itself in a giant pile of rubble if that's how it's run.
we saw nada surf last night. again. dang they're adorkable. delta spirit opened and were real energetic and fun.

new and for definite housing plan as of yesterday, starting the weekend after this one - taking over for alex's roommate esther. life is going to be awesome. i so love alex's dog, and the house is real nice, and close to school, and, wtf, i'm living with like my best friend. he's super excited, which warms the heart of the angsty, insecure high schooler in me. i'm going to be SO FAT. |

today was god damn glorious. was supposed to see catie, who was in VA visiting linday manchester (that's never been her real last name, so it doesn't matter she got married!), but that fell through, so i went for a 50+ mile bike ride with alex, which was joined a ways in by allyson, and we got food in bethesda, came back to dc and did laps at hains point, ate a spare cake we'd made earlier in the week and took abby, the cutest dog in dc, for a run. it's so good to get off the couch sometimes. |

two of my housemates spent the last week in various parts of CA, and got back eaaarly yesterday. while they were out there they were both bitten by brown recluse spiders. garret went to the hospital in CA and they cut out the venom and he has a big hole he's not supposed to get wet for like a week. shay didn't go, and now late last night went to the ER and isn't back.
god spiders are terrifying. |

work is ridiculous, in that i have no deadlines or particularly firm assignments, which means i do...not much. read cases about the titanic, or called 'US v. 16 bales of cotton' or things even more ridic.

i don't remember the last time i posted but it's been some weeks.. went home to nh, organized a mix cd swap party in boston, went to california, and came back to dc. going to philly next weekend. dunno if i ever mentioned it but a few weeks ago i went to michigan to visit a friend. basically... never in dc. but this weekend i was, because i was working a checkpoint at an alleycat. hipster points are go!
got a job as a research assistant for the summer for a professor who is going to write about cultural property law (the kind i'm interested in). win! now i have to figure out if i want to stay in the dorm or go live in a big house full of bike kids. the people in the house say live there, everyone else say no. hm.

at a party i went to last night this guy peter intentionally liquored up romel, the birthday boy, until he passed out. we then put a quick-set cast on his arm, and when he woke up everyone signed it and tried to convince him he'd fallen down the stairs while he was drunk. i have nooooo idea how he's getting that thing off. |
